Software Products – Market View – Sweden 2014

Although the adoption of SaaS ‘cannibalizes’ the packaged software market, this sector still achieved growth of 3.7% in 2013. Given that costs in Sweden are high, including labor costs, Swedish organizations have been targeting software implementation as a means of enhancing and automating business processes, allowing them to take advantage of economic recovery both domestically and internationally.

Despite overall growth, it is important to note that there have been patches of both strengths and weaknesses within the Swedish software market in terms of vertical sectors. We have witnessed increased activity in the domestic market, where retail organizations, in particular, have been replacing legacy solutions with packaged software implementations.
